Paoli (or Paoli') Dam (4 October 1980) is an Indian Bengali actress. She is from Kolkata and came into prominence with her 2009 Bengali film - Kaalbela, directed by notable Director Gautam Ghose.

She started her career in a mega serial 'Tithir Atithi" replacing another actress Rimhjim Mitra.Paoli had come into the focus after the success of Kaalbela directed by Gautam Ghose. After that She was selected for a role in Italo Spinelli's film 'Choli Ke Peeche' after Shahana Goswami and Nandana Sen backed out of the project citing excess of nudity involved. Paoli made her debut with the Bengali film Agnipariksha in 2006. She was also featured in Shob Charitro Kalponik, Bipasha Basu's debut Bengali film directed by Rituparno Ghosh.

Italian director Italo Spinelli has chosen Paoli to play a tribal woman in his forthcoming film Choli Ke Peechhe.Based on a short story by Mahasweta Devi.Paoli Dam has received the award for Shera Bangali New Face 2009 .Paoli Dam faced severe criticism from several quarters after she took part in an explicit scene containing full frontal nudity in the 2011 movie Chatrak (Mushrooms). Though the nudity wasn't overly graphic, her bare buttocks, pubic hair and breasts were visible throughout the scene. She has done a wonderful job in the recent release movie "Hate Story".

Revathi (born 27 September 1988), known by her stage name Sandhya, is an Indian film actress who acts primarily in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films.She made her debut as an actress in the 2004 Tamil film Kaadhal (2004), her performance in which earned her a Filmfare Award and Tamil Nadu State Film Award. In 2006, for her role in the Tamil film Dishyum she got a Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress, and she earned a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her debut Telugu film Annavaram.

Sandhya was studying when she starred in the critically acclaimed Tamil love story Kaadhal. Initially, this role was offered to actress Gopika, however, due to date problems, this role went on to Sandhya. However, due to her rising fame, especially after the blockbuster film Dishyum, her second Tamil film, she had to discontinue her studies before even passing her 10th class.

After Kaadhal, for which she won the Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award of 2004, she took up a Malayalam film titled Alice in Wonderland which she played as the sister of actor Jayaram. Then came the musical romance Dishyum with Jeeva. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. In her third Tamil film, Vallavan, she had only a small role, and the film had only modest box office success. She also acted in Koodal Nagar with Bharath. She debuted in playback singing for her Tamil film Manjal Veiyil.

She was approached for the voice-over for Shriya Saran's character in Sivaji, however, S. Shankar later preferred actress Kanika Subramaniam's voice.

Jaya Prada was born as Lalita Rani on 3 April 1962 in a middle-class family in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. Her father Krishna Rao was a Telugu film financier. Her mother Neelavani enrolled her in dance and music classes at an early age.

When she was fourteen years old, she performed a dance at her school's annual function. A film director was in the audience, and he offered her a three-minute dance number in the Telugu film Bhoomikosam. She was hesitant, but her family encouraged her to accept it. She was paid only 10 rupees for her work in the film, but she also received much greater opportunities, as the rushes of those three minutes of film was shown to the major figures of the Telugu film industry, and the floodgates opened. Major filmmakers offered her starring roles in quality films, and she accepted them. She became a major star in 1976 with big hits. Famous director K. Balachander's black-and-white film Anthuleni Katha (1976) showcased her dramatic skills; K. Viswanath's color film Siri Siri Muvva (1976) showed her playing a mute with excellent dancing skills; and her title role as Sita in the big-budget mythological film Seetha Kalyanam confirmed her versatility. In 1977, she starred in Adavi Ramudu, which broke box office records and which permanently cemented her star status.The song "Aaresukoboyi Paresukunnanu" picturized on her and co-star N.T. Rama Rao became a mass hit.In 1979, she acted in Ninaithale Inikkum opposite Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in which she played a terminally-ill patient. She continued to act in more films in Telugu opposite major actors throughout the 70s. K. Viswanath remade Siri Siri Muvva (1976) in Hindi as Sargam introducing Jayaprada to Bollywood in 1979. The film became a huge hit and she became an overnight star there as well. She earned her first Filmfare nomination as Best Actress but couldn't capitalize on her success since she couldn't speak Hindi.

In 1981, she starred in the critically acclaimed 47 Natkal. Director K. Vishwanath relaunched her again in Hindi films, with the hit film Kaamchor where she spoke Hindi fluently for the first time.She was now able to consistently work in Hindi films and earn two more Filmfare nominations as Best Actress for playing Amitabh Bachchan's endearing girlfriend in Prakash Mehra's Sharaabi (1984) and for her challenging double role in K. Vishwanath's Sanjog. Saagara Sangamam released in 1983 proved to be a milestone in her career, Starring Kamal Haasan, the film won her lot of accolades including Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu.

She earned fans, not just with the masses, but also with the great Indian director Satyajit Ray, who has said she was one of the prettiest women in the world.Although, she has acted in Bengali films, she has never worked for Ray.

Jayaprada made a successful team, not just with Amitabh Bachchan and Jeetendra, but also with her immediate screen rival Sridevi, with whom she has acted in about a dozen films. Their hit Telugu film Devata (film) (1982) where they played sisters who made big sacrifices for each other, was remade into the hit Hindi film Tohfaa (1984). These films endeared Jayaprada to the traditional conservative section of filmgoers. It was an image that would serve her well when she started a new career as a politician.

In film Paatal Bhairavi, at the peak of her facial and physical beauty, Jayapradha plays the role of a princess in a magical kingdom. This performance became renowned as the supreme example of grand and classical beauty of South Indian women in Bollywood.

Udaya Bhanu is an Indian presenter and film actress. She made her career debut at age 15, beginning to work as a television presenter in Telugu channels. In 2004, Udaya Bhanu alleged that her mother and her family relatives abused and tortured her physically and mentally.She claimed that they wanted her to convert to Islam and that she was forcibly married to a Muslim named Mohammed Fasiullah Khan in 1999.At a press meet, she claimed that her family's torture led to her attempting suicide in 2002.She said: "My mother, Dr. Aruna, has scant regard for me as a human being. She drove me to suicide and I've had dreadful encounters with her in the past".She later got a divorce and remarried her longtime friend Vijay Kumar at an Arya Samaj Temple in October 2004.She later admitted that make the issue public was the biggest mistake she did in her life. She stated: "I am ashamed of washing the dirty linen in the public. These issues should be sorted out in the family instead of going to the public. Now everything is fine".

Rani Mukerji (born Rani Mukherjee on 21 March 1978) is an Indian film actress who works in Hindi movies. Born to the Mukherjee-Samarth family, Mukerji never harbored any ambitions to become an actress, but eventually joined films on the insistence of her parents. She made her acting debut with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat (1997), and subsequently had her first, and still biggest commercial success with Karan Johar's romance Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), which won her a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. She later starred in several films that fared below expectations, but in 2002 she tasted success with the critically acclaimed drama Saathiya for which she received numerous awards and nominations, including her first Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
